Prayer Chain
Ben and Lindsey thought the idea of signing up to pray during a certain time slot tomorrow would be great. If you are able and willing would you pick a 30 min time slot to pray, lets say between 7:00am and 9:00pm. This will be a great start and we will know better in the morning when his surgery might be. For now just write in a time in the comments section and we will try to start a list/chart for you to look at. Thanks!! (And it doesn’t matter if we double up some slots….keep them coming!)

We are with you in spirit and are praying for you and all that is happening and all the activity tomorrow. We had prayer for Luke at church tonight and people say they will continue to pray for Luke. We pray for him as He comes to our minds. Get some rest tonight so you will be refreshed and ready for the day as Luke gets the help he needs. He has shown us how strong he is and he will keep fighting. The letter from his teacher was so touching and I was so moved as I read the words. I felt hope as I read that that God does have plan for him and he will and is touching lives.

I will be up and praying for Luke from 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 a.m. and throughout the day.
My family and I will keep Luke in our prayers all day as we have been doing. More specifically we will pray for him especially 10:30-11:00am. May you especially feel God’s presence this morning(I am writing this in the wee morning hours on Monday) during Luke’s surgery. Just a side note, I was thinking while I was reading everyone’s comments on Luke, if there is one thing I can say-if something were ever to happen to one of my boys, I hope that people would be able to remember them with the kind words/memories as they do Luke! Ben and Lindsey, you seem be accomplishing what every parent can only hope they can do-that is to raise a child in the Lord’s name and pray that they grow up to be a man of God. GREAT JOB!

I remember, Ben, when you were there in C’ville at the hospital many years ago–and we had a celebrate life party for you–we sensed God’s presence and knew He was in control—and God so miraculously healed you. Today I thank God for His continued healing hand upon Luke’s body.

The comment by Dorothy Grove hit me, because I have been waking up in the night praying for Luke also. “The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.” Numbers 6: 25-26
has also been coming to mind as I pray. The Holy Spirit is definitely at work. I will pray throughout the day (and night).
