More News, More Prayer!

When Chris, Mike and I came back from a late lunch Ben and Lindsey had gotten more news, they said felt like a “kick in the gut”.  The official report came back from the MRI taken last night and Luke is going to need surgery to repair the ligaments at the base of his skull  So instead of starting the process of waking him up they are sedating him more heavily and now more waiting.  We have gathered in the waiting room and prayed and ask for your agreement, we know the Lord can heal and that’s our desire but if he chooses to use surgery we pray that he doesn’t have to wait long.  The quicker the better, the waiting is so hard!  Its been a draining day for Ben and Lindsey so pray for strength for them.  I must say its so cool to see when one of them is weak the other is strong.  We praise God that Luke’s head pressure and blood pressure did come down God is answering prayer so lets keep it up!  Thank you all!!

  1. Faith has said many times “I can’t stop thinking about Luke.” I have told her that I feel the same way and every time we think of him we need to pray for him. That means that in our house (and I am sure in many others) Luke is being lifted before our Father constantly.

  2. Hello, Yoder family–I went to EMHS with Sheila back in the day. Just wanted to let you guys know I’m thinking of you. I’m about an hour from C’Ville so if you guys need anything, please don’t hesitate to get in contact. I know you’ve got lots of family around, but if we can do anything, we’d be happy to!

We’re thinking and praying for you guys!

  3. This evening before I read this update I was worshiping in my car and felt led to share a song that played. Now it seems even more appropriate.

    Sovereign One

When I’m all alone and afraid
    I will trust in You
For You watch over my ways
When things in my life don’t make sense
    I will trust in You
For You are good, You are good

    Sovereign One
You work all things to Your plan
    Sovereign One
You hold all things in Your hands

When I don’t get to have my own way
    I will trust in You
For you know what is best
When tears begin to roll down my face
    I will trust in You
For You are good, You are good

Perfect in power, You control all things
Perfect in wisdom, You know everything
    Perfect in goodness
Jesus, You’re so good to me
So good to me, for You are

    Sovereign One
You work all things to Your plan
    Sovereign One
You hold all things in Your hands

  9. You probably don’t know who we are, but we know many in your family, Ben. Just wanted to let you know we joined the masses of people praying when we heard about the accident the day after it happened. We are continuing to check for updates and continuing to pray.
