Sunday Update

We had a day of rest and recharging.  Mom and Dad brought Maleah and Andrew up so that we could spend some good time alone with them.  We had a special time celebrating Andrew’s birthday, he will be 6 tomorrow!  He is such a sweet little guy who loves his brother so much!   Luke had a quiet day of rest also, and Ben and I are encouraged. His ICP has remained low and all other levels have been stable as well.  PRAISE GOD!  We found out this morning that Luke will have surgery tomorrow on his neck (cervical spine) to repair the ligament damage.  After this operation is complete, another doctor is going to come in and repair a bone on the side of Luke’s face (close to his temple) that is fractured.   We do not know what time the surgery will be, and may not know until the morning…we will post it when we find out.

Please pray that God will give the doctors wisdom and that He will guide their hands.  Pray for Luke’s ICP level to remain stable throughout the surgery and after.  They are estimating the surgery will last about 4 hours, and he will remain under sedation afterward.  The days ahead are going to be uncertain and challenging for all of us, pray that God will surround us and give us peace.  Also, pray that God’s presence would fill Luke’s room tonight and for Uncle Jeff who will be sitting with him.  Pray, pray, pray!

We have given it all to God and know that He is surrounding Luke with His love and holding him in his arms.  Ben and I are ready to fight for Luke and show him how much we love him!

  3. We are so praying for you…….a prophetic word in church this morning was that God is hearing our request and there is an answer on the way. I just claimed that for you and prayed that the Holy Spirit would continue to surround you and your family.
    I’ll be remembering you tomorrow……….

Carson was bummed the whole time though that he could not do it, so we promised him that when Luke and him are better we will do it again, that made him very happy. 8. Will be continually lifting Luke, your family and all who are caring for him up in prayer. I don’t know you, but it is obvious that you have so many people who love and care for each of you, so that you are wrapped in the love of many.

  13. I am so inspired by you and your faith and trust in God. I am not sure why things like this happen, but I can tell you that God is using this to work in my life and bring me closer to him. I am sure that there are many others who feel the same. I went up to the alter call at church and they said they just wanted to sing over people with hardships and burdens, I went and lifted Luke and your family up. I pray that you will feel the praises of God’s people being lifted up on your behalf. Remember today God is in control and all of Heaven is singing its praises over you and God will give you the strength to climb this mountain and when you get to the top its going to be glorious.
