I will pray for Luke and your family. I have felt the comfort only God can bestow during trials such as this and will ask that He keep a healing, comforting hand on Luke and your family. 9. Dear Lindsey and Ben,
We praise the Lord for this wonderful news! We are keeping Luke and your whole family in our earnest prayers. We trust
the goodness of our Lord and know He’ll provide everything that you need in Christ Jesus. We just returned from a week of vacation and learned all about Luke’s accident from Karen
Buchanan and just now, too, from reading your blogs. We are so sorry for what you are going through, but, as you’ve said, we believe the Lord is holding you in the palms of His hands. Ethan is very concerned and wants to pray for Luke every chance he can. We are lifting him up to the Lord without ceasing.

Your family and Luke’s recovery remain in our prayers!! Too often, humanity sets limitations on God. We know God can, but we fall short of believing He will. I know you know that God has the ultimate say!!

  34. May God continue to comfort you in this very tragic and difficult time. I read of Luke’s story through a prayer chain at my church in Nebraska. I am a physical therapist that has worked with children suffering from Traumatic Brain Injuries. NEVER give up hope – young brains are so “remoldable” that even when a certain part of the brain doesn’t function as well as it used to, another part often times takes over and helps out. I will pray for Luke and your entire family. God bless.

“A powerful motivation for believing God in our present is intentionally remembering how He’s worked in our past.”

  51. My head hurt so bad the other day I actually think a halo brace would have felt good! In my devotions the other morning I was reminded of the fact that , Doesn’t God care for the the little sparrows?  How much more does He care for Luke. Everyday that there is breath is another day for God to work a miracle.

  52. My words are inadequate. Here are words from Our Lord to each of you, Ben, Lindsey and dear Luke.

But now, this says the Lord, your creator, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in your place. Since you are precious in My sight, since you are honored and I love you, I will give other men in your place and other peoples in exchange for your life. Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and gather you from the west. I will say to the north.’Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth, everyone who is called by My name, and whom I have created for My glory, whom I have formed, even whom I have made.”” Isaiah 43:1-7

  54. You have been in our hearts and thoughts and prayers since we received word of Luke’s accident. We believe God is preparing Luke to be very strong and courageous, which will enable him to accept what he will face when he awakens and becomes aware of his surroundings. We pray for God’s mighty grace to carry you, Ben and Lindsey, so you are able to give hope and assurance to Luke in those first moments and days after Luke awakens. We are so grateful for the loving care and support given by both the Yoder and Hochstetler families. We pray for daily strength for all of you on this difficult journey.

  55. Yoder family, We are praying for ya’ll. God is able to do far above anything that we could ask or think! His love and grace are amazing. Our 8 yr. old fell out of an upstairs window several months ago and spent 2 days in the hospital with minimal injurys. We understand some of the agony of heart that you as parents feel when it comes to the life of your child. Keep running to your Abba father. He understands it even better and holds you close as well as your son. Continuing to pray.
