Good News

The doctor came in about an hour ago and removed the ICP monitor (the bolt) from Luke’s head.  He also took out the staples from his head wound.  We are praising God for the progress and healing He is doing in Luke.  Each step is getting closer to healing, it is going to be a slow process but we are encouraged.  This morning when Dr. Jane came in to see Luke, he asked him to open his eyes, give thumbs-up, and wiggle his toes, and Luke did everything!  He’s still on a lot of medication and very sedated so he’s very sluggish and tired.  Please continue to rally behind Luke in prayer, he needs everyone fighting for him right now!  We are believing that God will do a complete and whole restoration in Luke, He is faithful and mighty to save!

  9. Ben & Lindsey, Rosie B. commented this am about the wonderful ministry of Luke. She expressed my thots exactly. That is exactly what this is and I know God is taking in the sweet aroma of all the prayers. So many people that believe of God but not in God are being exposed to his marvelous works and witnessing Him do His thing. God has their attention, let’s share the story as we have opportunity. 13. Since returning to Sarasota Luke and his whole family have been on our minds. We pray for complete healing for Luke and continued wisdom for the doctors. We check on Luke’s progress several times a day. It is encouraging to see the Lord at work! Pro. 3:5a Trust in the Lord with all thine heart. God’s blessings and strength be with all of you.

  14. Ben & Lindsey,

What a humbling report regarding the healing in His wings for little Luke. He does not give us peace as the world gives (John 14:27) for He himself is our peace (Eph 2:14)and that is Good News as you have reported on this good news day.

Tomorrow morning, may you both join your voices together as you did last Sunday morning – “…from whom all blessings flow”

  15. What a great report today! Each day, God’s works are so evident in what is happening with Luke. I keep thinking of one of my favorite verses “for I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11. We continue to pray for all of you.

  16. Tonight, as I was worshiping at church, we were singing “We Can Trust Him” (ALSO, another song from Croc. Dock VBS) and my thoughts were immediately drawn to Luke and your family…..yes Jesus-WE CAN AND WE DO TRUST YOU! Every step of the way! Removal of ICP monitor, bladder infections, fevers, successful GI tube surgery–every bit of it, is in His hands and seeing how He has moved already, gives us even more reason to TRUELY understand that YES-we can TRUST HIM!
Continuing to rejoice! Continuing to pray!

  17. Ben and Lindsey,
Our family continues to pray for Luke each day. If we happen to forget to mention him at meal time or bedtime my kids all add a P.S. for Luke Yoder. He is being prayed for several times thoughout the day at our house. I continue to pray for a complete recovery for Luke and believe that God will completely restore his body. I’m so glad that you continue to have good news to share and believe it will continue. I now sing the song Mighty to Save with a different outlook. We’re holding you up in prayer. Blessings, The Shippa Family

  18. I am rallying in prayer even now for God to be mighty in power thru Luke’s weakened body…for perfect eyesight, for total restoration….and for His sustaining love and comfort to pour out over you and Ben and the rest of your family.
