Lukeyoder's Blog

Just another WordPress.com weblog

Monday 7/20

Sheila and I did the overnight with her taking the first half. It was a mostly quiet night for Luke. He rested most of the night with the exception of waking up a few times while coughing. We are still in somewhat of a holding pattern waiting for a couple of teams to coordinate their schedules together to be able to remove the respirator tube. As of 10:00 this morning, they say that it looks as if it will happen this afternoon. Specific prayer requests for today would be: 1) no complications with removing respirator, 2) as he wakes up, that he isn’t frightened or anxious, 3) that his eyes haven’t suffered permanent damage and will continue to be restored 4) and as always for complete healing and restoration of his neck and head.

  3. Ben and Lindsey, hang in there. Deuteronomy 29:29 is a good verse … didn’t realize it was in the Bible until yesterday! I remember the first night … ground zero so to speak, God gave us the word of faith .. “Luke is going to make it”. Truly God is good! Praying for you.

  4. Lindsey- I went to SCS and graduated with your brother and I remeber you from there! I saw this blog on Shea’s Facebook profile and have been checking it daily to follow Luke’s progress! It has been truly awesome to see God answering prayers! My 9 year old son asks everyday about what’s new with Luke and every night when we sit down for dinner and pray he asks God do to heal him! We are praying for continual healing for Luke, strength and peace for your family and wisdom for the doctors! We ask that God continue to hold you all in his hand! (Eph. 6:18- Pray in the Spirit at all times with all kinds of prayers, asking for everything you need.)

It is nice to see such a team effort from Luke’s whole family and thank you for sharing your excellent example of faith in our Father. God is so good!
