Update

This morning the doctor’s office called and said we could take Luke’s neck brace off, again.  They reviewed the films from his CT Scan and decided that he is okay without the brace.  They want to do x-rays on December 1st to make sure everything is good.  Luke was super happy when I told him to take it off, and had to call his grandma in Florida to share the good news.  Of course we want to do whatever it takes to make sure Luke’s neck heals properly, it’s just been a rollercoaster, so thank you all for your prayers and support.

  1. At the risk of insulting what you probably already well know (especially from one you do not know personally)I want to say this anyway. I only hope at such risk that it can be of some benefit. Remember the healing of your son’s neck IS FONDATIONAL.Seeing to it that a foundation is rightly laid can require patience -yes sometimes patience beyond what one may seem to have. But once that foundation is rightly laid it is well worth all the patience for then the other pieces concerning that foundation can come into place much more easily. And it can be a lot harder for the other pieces to come into place when a foundation is pourly laid.An unknown friend, David

  5. Hello everyone – we are super happy that the final results were positive and that the neck brace can come off. Please let us know if we can ever help. I often think as I read the blog that it is a glimpse into your life, but you guys work hard every day just to have a “normal” routine. Know we continue to pray for you daily!

  6. It is still such an encouragement to come here and read about what God is doing in your life, Luke. May He continue to show His goodness to you by healing you. I’m sure it’s hard to be patient and to trust that all of this healing will come in His perfect timing, but please know that it will. I sit here amazed…looking back at the beginning of this blog and see what God has done. “…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6

May His mighty, healing hand continue to be upon you Luke. You are a brave, courageous boy. Stay strong!

  7. Oh ((hugs)) to you all! What a roller coaster ride those couple of days were for you! Rejoicing for the latest news and continually thinking/praying about/for ya’ll. Still wearing my bracelet and will go back to praying for the INNER HEALING that still needs to take place on deep levels…so glad the physical healing is continually progressing! Rejoicing! Love you ALL! (Cooper is still praying for Luke every night….melts my heart, even after 4 1/2 months of hearing the same pray…..childlike faith..a beautiful thing!)

  8. Luke
I saw the note from David Kanagy and I believe this should be applied to life in every way. Even our Savior talks about laying a good foundation on Him, the Rock of our salvation. It certainly does take patience, which our loving God gives to us. Just ask Him and keep asking. He loves when we come to Him for everything. You cannot bother Him, for He loves when His children run to Him!
Hang in there little brother, for He promises that the crown of glory, life with Him forever, is the reward of those who trust Him and seek Him.
We seek Him as you all do.
